Diana Urbano has a MsC and a PhD in Theoretical Physics. She has published papers in renowned journals in the area of Nuclear and Particle Physics. She is Auxiliary Professor at the Engineering Physics Department of the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto (FEUP), where she lectures undergraduate Physics in several Engineering Masters Programs. In the framework of her integration within the Associated Laboratory for Energy, Transports and Aeronautics (LAETA-INEGI/U.PORTO), her research activities are related with data analysis of data collected with instrumented devices, used in physical and medicine related areas as well as in engineering education. In the context of this work she has published papers in indexed journals as well as in international peer reviewed conferences. She has been awarded 3 prizes in education. She has participated in national and international projects. She frequently delivers workshops in international conferences and training courses in higher education pedagogy for faculty of different universities in Portugal. She carries out review task for indexed journals and for internacional conferences and is member of the editorial board of international journal. She has organized special sessions in conferences and has been part of the organizing comittes of international conferences. She is a senior member of the International Society for Engineering Padagogy (IGIP, "Internationale Gesellschaft fur Ingenieurpadagogik") and the president of the IGIP portuguese committee.
