Micaela Pinheiro is a PhD student in Psychology at ISCTE and a research fellow FCT - Foundation for Science and Technology (reference FCT 2021.06556). Her research interests focus on the child protection system, specifically on residential care. Her doctoral project aims to identify protective factors for resilient trajectories of young people in residential care contexts. She completed a degree in psychology in 2016 and a master's degree in community psychology, protection of children and young people at risk in 2018 at ISCTE-IUL. Her professional experience covers work in IPSS and the child protection system, namely, work with children, young people, and adults with disabilities, experience in a Family Support and Parental Counseling Center (CAFAP), and the management of Promotion and Protection processes in the context of the CPCJ.
