Susana Roxo Oliveira (Lisbon, 1976) is a PhD candidate in the Research Doctoral Program at Universidade Lusófona, Lisbon. She holds a Master’s degree in Visual Arts Teaching (Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, 2015), a Postgraduate Diploma in Special Education (Faculdade de Motricidade Humana – Universidade de Lisboa, 2019), and a Bachelor’s degree in Design (IADE – European University, 2001). She has participated in several international and national training programs, including the Erasmus+ 2020-1-PT01-KA101-078285 on Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Education (Valencia, 2022), the Millage Learning+ program (University of Algarve), and the Training for Networked Digital Teaching (Lisbon Open University, 2021). Susana has also completed short courses in creativity and illustration. She has additionally completed extensive academic and professional training over the course of her doctoral research. This includes methodological and digital research tools such as Covidence (systematic review) and NVivo (qualitative analysis); the doctoral course "Being Human Today" (University of Agder, Norway, 2024); participation in the Summer School in European Education Studies – SUSEES (University of Strasbourg, 2024); the course Being Human Today (University of Agder, 2024); training in arts-based research (the exploratory workshop Gestures Across Difference, which she designed and delivered as part of the BIP Erasmus programme (2025); and participation in the Eurodoc Ambassador Programme for Values and Democracy in European Research and Higher Education, from which she received an ambassador certification.
