Highly dedicated and motivated biomedical researcher specialized in the field of cellular and developmental biology of hematopoietic cells and lymphoid organs. Currently, I have been involved in a project that aims to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in the thymus and parathyroid formation (PI Hélia Neves). Previous projects in which I was involved aimed: 1) to dissect the impact of IL7R gain-of-function mutations in T-cell leukemia and portray the landscape of IL-7/IL-7R signaling networks in health and malignancy (João Barata Lab, IMM-JLA), 2) understanding the role of Notch Signalling in the specification and differentiation of various cell types and tissues during embryogenesis, i.e. Hematopoietic, Thymic Epithelial and Endocrine-C cells (Instituto de Histologia e Biologia do Desenvolvimento, FML). During my PhD, I studied the spatial organization of the heterochromatin during the interphase of human cells.. Fisrt and co-author of several peer-reviewed scientific papers.
