Rui Morgado is Postdoc at Department of Biology and CESAM, University of Aveiro, Portugal. After graduating in Biology by the University of Aveiro in 2007, he completed the MSc in Ecology, Biodiversity and Ecosystem Management in 2008 and PhD in Biology in 2014, also by University of Aveiro. He has published 26 ISI papers, 2 book chapters, presented 50 research communications in international conferences, and received 2 awards. Rui Morgado was PI of the FCT project ¿ECOCENE ¿“Ecological Effects of nanopesticides to Soil Ecosystems¿”, is involved in 2 ongoing FCT projects and participated in 4 national and international projects already concluded. His main research interests include: soil ecology and ecotoxicology, soil biodiversity and functioning, soil ecosystem services, multiple stressors, climate changes, environmental risk assessments, nanopesticides, mixture toxicity, toxicokinetic-toxicodynamic modelling. Rui Morgado is the co-supervisor of 1 PhD student, co-supervised 1 MSc student and 5 graduation students. He has also been involved in science communication, particularly to students of all ages such as Ciência Viva, science events in schools and science fairs. He was instructor at 2 workshops and 7 advanced courses.
