Tatiana Padrão concluded her Master Degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) in 2017. Her dissertation focused on Production and characterization of a heparinized nanohydroxyapatite/collagen biocomposite (HECOLCAP) for antibiotic controlled release and bone regeneration. This work was awarded by the Portuguese Society for Materials (SPM), as one of the best dissertations of 2017, in materials science. Currently, she is working as Research Assistant in the project NoMIC2Bone, with the main goal of Development of different Nanohydroxyapatite Based Antimicrobial Structures for Bone Regeneration. Her main interests of research are focused on design and development of antimicrobial materials for biomedical applications with a specific interest in materials and medical devices to prevent hospital-acquired infections. Tatiana is a result oriented person with a proactive mindset, constantly seeking for improvement, knowledge and cooperation. A dedicated and motivated person who wants to acquire new capacities and to be challenged to try new projects. Effective communicator who builds positive, cohesive relationships with all levels of team.
