Sarah Alexandra Pais Pereira was born in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1994. She graduated in Pharmacy from the Institute Polytechnique of Guarda (IPG), Portugal, in 2016. She obtained her master's degree in Quality Control from the University of Porto, Portugal, in 2018. She is now doing her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at the same University in collaboration with École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Her Ph.D. project is entitled ¿Development of new drugs that modulate the tumor environment based on a rational approach." Her main research activity is focused on developing automatic systems, mainly sequential injection analysis (SIA) and lab-on-valve (LOV), to evaluate the activity of ionic liquids and other pharmaceutical compounds in enzymes activity. Sarah Pereira had two research fellows under two different works (REQUIMTE 2016-26 and REQUIMTE 2018-15). She is the co-author of 18 peer-reviewed publications (more than 100 citations and a 5-h index) in international journals, from which 10 are the first author. She has 13 oral communications in national and international conferences. She also has 12 poster presentations, 5 of which were in the last 5 years. Sarah Pereira participated in one scientific project as a researcher. She has given master's classes in Control Quality master since 2017. She has mentored 1 integrated master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences student of the University of Porto (Portugal), 3 Pharmacy students from IPG, and 1 international master's student from Anadolu University (Turkey).
