INÊS PAULO SANTOS

I completed a Psychomotor Rehabilitation master's degree at the Faculty of Human Kinetics, University of Lisbon in 2010. I am currently taking a Ph.D. in Human Kinetics research area. My research addresses how elderly people gather and use visual information to guide locomotion. Using a head-mounted eye-tracking methodology, I measure eye gaze in adults and older adults to investigate the real-time acquisition of visual information during spontaneous, self-generated action. I’m particularly interested in study how gaze behavior is affected by the aging process, during locomotion avoiding obstacles, and exploit the gaze patterns used.
