Luana Sarinho completed her Integrated Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering in 2020 at the University of Aveiro, during which she carried out a six-month mobility period at the University of Santiago de Compostela under the Erasmus+ programme. She is currently a PhD student in Environmental Sciences and Engineering, focusing her research on innovation in the production of saline by-products through industrial symbiosis. Since 2025, she has also been working as an environmental consultant at VLM Compliance, with an emphasis on regulatory compliance. Her research interests include advanced oxidation processes, wastewater treatment, electrochemical processes, valorization of industrial by-products, industrial eco-efficiency, and the circular economy.
