João Vitorino is a researcher at GECAD, ISEP, Polytechnic of Porto. He is pursuing a PhD in Informatics Engineering and holds an MSc in Artificial Intelligence Engineering, in addition to several certifications in the fields of AI and computer networking. He has been responsible for the conceptualization and development of trustworthy AI solutions for real-time cybersecurity systems in several national and international R&D projects, collaborating with defense industry partners. The focus of his work has been ML robustness and explainability in complex tabular data domains. He has developed an intelligent method for realistic adversarial attacks, and continues to work on the validation and verification of the security of ML and DL models.
