Rita Torres is currently an Assistant Researcher at INET-md – Ethnomusicology Institute: Center for Studies in Music and Dance (University of Aveiro), one of Portugal's leading research units in music and musicology. She holds a European PhD from the Portuguese Catholic University (2016) and degrees in Chemical Engineering, Guitar, Musicology/Music Informatics and Composition. Her outputs and activities have fostered, and given a greater visibility to guitar research.
