Patrícia Pereira Lopes

She is a PhD student in Molecular Biology from the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Lisbon, cE3c, with consolidated experience in the field of life sciences. She is a member of the PRAGMATICK COST action (CA21170). She holds a master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Lisbon, completed on December 5th, 2018, and a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics and Nutrition in 2009. Her training and internship in the Infectious Diseases Department of the National Institutes of Health Doctor Ricardo Jorge led her to a keen interest in infectious diseases, including transmission dynamics, pathogenic agents and their hosts, and the factors influencing animal and human infection risk. As a Research Fellow at the National Institute for Agrarian and Veterinarian Research (INIAV), she developed extensive knowledge of the bio-ecology of wild game species and honed their communication and outreach skills.
