Ruben Turé holds a bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery - MBBS (Faculty of Medicine Beihua University, China, 2018) and a master's degree in Public Health (Faculty of Medicine of University of Porto, 2021). In 2020, he worked as the lead researcher in the project "Surveillance of non-communicable diseases risk factors among adults in Bissau (based on the WHOSTEPS approach to surveillance)". From 2022 to 2023, he worked as a research fellow in the project "O impacto da pandemia COVID-19 no diagnóstico, tratamento e sobrevivência de doentes com cancro". Currently, he is a PhD student in Public Health (Faculty of Medicine University of Porto) with a scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). His PhD project is focuses on studying Preeclampsia as a predictor of early onset cardiovascular impairment.
