Patrícia D. Correia holds a bachelor degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Aveiro, Portugal. Her master's thesis was performed both at the iBiMED - University of Aveiro, and on an Erasmus internship in the Molecular Neurobiology Laboratory in Düsseldorf, Germany. She holds a certification for animal experimentation, category B according to FELASA. And has published one article in the subject of Neuronal Morphology and Migration (DOI:10.1017/s1431927618015532), and presented her work in several International Neurosciences Conferences and also national events. She was also awarded with a FENS/IBRO Grant. Currently, she is doing a PhD in Biomedicine from the University of Aveiro and NOVA Medical School, in collaboration with the Molecular Biology Laboratory, in Düsseldorf, with the support from a FCT Scholarship (SFRH/BD/139974/2018). The main aim of her PhD thesis is to unravel new therapeutic targets for central nervous system repair after injury, using a transcriptomics approach.
