Course / Discipline taught

Academic session Degree Subject (Type) Institution / Organization
2023/09/11 - 2024/01/06 Communication Design BA- Course Subject: Drawing Territories Engages with place, space, identity, and the body (as a territory and as an active participant in territories): to dig into these concepts and find deeper meaning and awareness of the concept of territories, be they physical, social, political, or commercial, adds another dimension to experiential learning through drawing. As such both "territories" and drawing practices are complementary to all the other teaching units at DELLI Annual Course for 1st semester 3rd year students since 2015 Design de Comunicação/ Communication Design (Licenciatura) Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias., Portugal
2023/09 - 2024/01 Digital Animation BA - Drawing. Introduces drawing processes and technical skills used in animation practice, to equip students with the skills to explore and achieve visual communication through various drawing media. Technical elements are combined with project briefs to explore creative thinking and the cinematographic challenges of animation with the development of personal styles. Digital Animation BA (Licenciatura) Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, Portugal
2023/02 - 2023/07 Animation Arts National MA, Course Subject: Hybrid Spaces Introduces animation expanded beyond conventional screen-based presentations, focused on the use of 'space and place' as methods of researching the context and concepts of animation production. Through spatial contexts, it opens up experience of non-linear narrative, abstracted stories, and expanded animation practices. Helping to reflect on ways of telling stories and sharing experiences through the lens of documentary animation contexts. Curricular Subject taught since Feb 2016 Animation Arts/Artes da Animação (Mestrado) Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, Portugal
2023/02 - 2023/06 Communication Design BA- Course Subject: Drawing and Animation. The subjects are addressed as communicational and aesthetical phenomena, exploring its multiple connections with spaces, objects and social contexts. It considers Animation in the broadest sense since animation can refer to a kinetic object, a movement in space as much as a traditional "frame by frame" sequence of images. Current design practices encompassing moving images support engagement with topical issues. Annual Course for 2nd semester 3rd year students since 2015 Communication Design (Licenciatura) Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, Portugal
2023/02 - 2023/06 Communication Design BA- Course Subject: Drawing and Sketching. This course addresses drawing/illustration techniques, strategies and languages that can be used in all illustrative and communication design projects. It privileges drawing as research to engage students with the practice of researching content as well as contemporary and historical contexts. Engaging in drawing practices that experiment, expand and develop drawing as part of the process of designing and content development. Annual Course for 1st semester 2nd year students since 2023 Communication Design (Licenciatura) Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, Portugal
2023/02 - 2023/06 Communication Design BA- Course Subject: Drawing II. In this curricular unit students deepen their experience of Illustration and Drawing as artistic/ conceptual experimentation and also as a field of enquiry. Through exercises, exhibitions, field trips and discussions, students will develop techniques alongside addressing matters such as the entanglements between nature and artifice; sustainability in artistic production, or the revitalization of crafts.
