I graduated in Pharmacy in 2015 from the High School of Health, Polytechnic of Porto and two years later I earned my MSc degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (2017) from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto (FFUP) titled "Development of a Proliposome Formulation as a Drug Carrier for a Novel Antitumor Drug". My interest in science began during my master's degree, it immediately became clear that this was an area I wanted to pursue. In 2019, I had a 6 moths fellowship under the project “Design of Fluorinated Ionic Liquids as novel task-specific fluids” (PTDC/QEQ-EPR/5841/2014), founded by FCT, at the Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Lisbon, Portugal. In 2019, I was granted by FCT with a PhD grant (SFRH/BD/144607/2019) and five years later I successfully concluded my PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in Pharmaceutical Technology, at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto (FFUP), titled "Synthesis, preparation, and characterization of polymersome systems loaded with anti-glioblastoma small Molecules”. During my PhD, I went on an international experience at the Institute of Bioengineering of Catalonia, Barcelona, where I gained expertise in functionalization and characterization of PMs by working for 6 months in Professor Giuseppe Battaglia group. Since my PhD, I have been working as a Junior Researcher at UCIBIO-FFUP-MedTech, and I was nominated as the communication ambassador of UCIBIO-FFUP-MedTech. I have been supervising the experimental work of undergraduate students as well as master’s students. In the last 5 years, the results of my research work have been disseminated through 12 posters, 4 oral communications, and 8 original articles. My original research work was honored by 1 award for best poster communication obtained at the 17th Young Research Meeting of the University of Porto, IJUP, 2024 (co-author), and two honorable paper selections for the cover of 2 international journals, Molecules (author) and Pharmaceuticals (co-author).
