Vitor Castro (BSc, MSc, PhD) is Associate Professor / Reader in Economics at Loughborough Business School, Loughborough University (UK) with expertise in Macroeconomics and Applied Econometrics. He is also a Research Collaborator at the Centre for Research in Economics and Management (NIPE) , University of Minho (Portugal), Research Collaborator at the Centre for Business and Economic Research (CeBER), University of Coimbra (Portugal), and Member of the Digital Decarbonisation Team at Loughborough University (UK). Before joining Loughborough University in 2016, Vitor was Teaching Assistant (2001-2009) and Assistant Professor (2009-2016) at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra (Portugal) and a Visiting Scholar at the University of Cambridge, UK (2015-2016). Vitor has a BSc in Economics (1999) and an MSc in Economic Policy (2003) from University of Minho (Portugal) and a PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick, UK (2009). He has a distinctive record of publications in leading academic journals in Economics and Finance and he is currently Associate Editor of the journal Economic Modelling.
