Susana Mourão is actually working in the European Anti Poverty Network (EAPN Portugal) as researcher from the Lisbon Observatory and collaborates with the Psychology Research Center from Autónoma University of Lisbon (CIP-UAL). Started her career working in the primary care services as a nurse (2009), mainly intervening on child health promotion. Has a Master (2011) and a PhD (2019) in Psychology, from Iscte-University Institute of Lisbon, where studied the immigrants' health experiences and behaviors in the primary care services. Holds also a post-graduation in Data Analysis in Social Sciences, from Iscte-University Institute of Lisbon (2015). Has collaborated with the Centre for Social Research and Intervention (CIS-IUL; 2013-2014 and 2021-2022), with the Institute of Environmental Health (ISAMB; 2020), with the National School of Public Health (ENSP-NOVA; 2020-2021) and with the Sociology Research and Studies Centre (CIES_Iscte; 2021-2022), in research projects focusing in exploring interactions between the social environment, health, education and child/youth development. Her research is motivated in translate scientific knowledge in evidence-based good practices, aiming at contributions to the practicioners and community settings. Part of her research has been recognized by the Silva Leal Award (2012), as relevant to the development of public policies on social solidarity. Has also experience on teaching in the areas of social/community intervention, research methods and technical/scientific writing, being certified by the National Institute for Employment and Professional Formation (IEFP; F582492/2012) and by the Scientific and Pedagogical Council for Continuous Education (CCPFC/RFO-41070/21).
