I had completed my degree (5 years) in Chemical Engineering in 2017 at the University of Pamplona (Colombia), with a Cum Laude distinction. Currently, I am pursing my investigation at LAQV - REQUIMTE, NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT NOVA), NOVA University of Lisbon and I am a PhD student in Sustainable Chemistry at FCT NOVA. However, my collaboration with the University of Pamplona is on-going receiving invitations to lecture in some disciplines there. Besides, I have been awarded with a fellowship within the European project ¿KET4F-Gas: Reduction of the Environmental Impact of Fluorinated Gases in the Sudoe space using Key Enabling Technologies¿ (from 2018 to 2021) and within the European project ¿LIFE-4-Fgases: Towards a circular economy for refrigerants: A novel hybrid approach to selectively recycling F-gases¿ (from 2021 to now). During this period, I have acquired knowledge in fluorinated gas handling, and in gas absorption using ionic liquids and porous solid matrices (individually) as adsorbents. Furthermore, in 2020, I carried out a stay at the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain) under the supervision of Prof. José Palomar (h index: 43) in order to increase my knowledge related to COSMO method (COSMOSAC property model and COSMO-RS methodology) and Aspen Plus methodology for the separation of greenhouse gases. Then, I have applied a COSMO-based/Aspen Plus methodology to evaluate the performance of ILs as absorbents in the process scale of different fluorinated gases. As a result of this stay in Madrid, two articles were published in the Environmental Science & Technology (Environmental Sciences area with an impact factor (IF) of 9). Finally, my research work has produced very high-quality results confirmed by several communications in international conferences (reflected in my Curriculum Vitae: 3 oral communications and 7 posters, all of them as the first author) and by the number of scientific papers already published or submitted for publication (10 published and two still in preparation, as first author). In these papers, I have also collaborated with researchers from France, Colombia, and Spain. Furthermore, I have also participated in 3 R&D projects funded by public and private institutions (1 Colombian one and 2 European ones). With the knowledge acquired during my academic training, I have taught process simulation modules using the Aspen Tech Simulator in the Chemical Engineering Diploma at the University of Pamplona (Colombia). In 2022, I completed the supervision of 1 scholar in specific research project and currently, I supervise 1 master¿s student.
