ANA RAQUEL CUNHA is a Landscape Architect and a Ph.D. candidate in the Doctoral Programme in Landscape Architecture and Urban Ecology (LINK) at the Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA), University of Lisbon. She is a recipient of an FCT scholarship (Ref. 2020.04824.BD). She obtained her undergraduate degree in 2010 and a Master’s degree in 2014, both from ISA. In 2014, she joined the research team of the project LX GARDENS – Lisbon’s Historic Gardens and Parks: Study and Landscape Heritage Inventory (PTDC/EAT-EAT/110826/2009), coordinated by Prof. Ana Luísa Soares, as an FCT Research Fellow. Within this project, she contributed to historical research and the tree inventory of the gardens and parks under study. In 2015, she undertook a traineeship as a Landscape Architect at AAJBA (Associação dos Amigos do Jardim Botânico da Ajuda), where she provided technical support for the restoration and conservation of the Jardim Botânico da Ajuda, in a project financed by AAJBA. From 2017 to 2020, she was a Research Fellow at the ISA Herbarium, working on the national research infrastructure PORBIOTA – Portuguese E-Infrastructure for Information and Research on Biodiversity (POCI-01-0145-FEDER-022127). Under the supervision of Prof. Pedro Arsénio (Herbarium Curator) and Prof. Rui Figueira (GBIF Portuguese Node Manager), she contributed to the mobilisation of the institute’s biological collections, including the Herbarium João de Carvalho e Vasconcellos Collection, the Living Collection of the Botanical Park of Ajuda (PBTA), the PORVID Vaseclone Collection, and the ISA Bacteria Collection (CBISA). Building on her research experience and strong interest in botany, she is part of the team developing content for the dedicated page on the Botanical Collection of the Parque Botânico da Tapada da Ajuda.
