João Martins received the M.Sc. degree in electrical and computer engineering specialty in telecommunications from the University of Coimbra, in 2020. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering with the Faculty of Science and Technology, University of Coimbra, in collaboration with the Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT). His research interests include physical layer security and authentication techniques for distributed massive MIMO systems, with a particular emphasis on spoofing attack detection and mitigation in 6G communication networks. His current research interests include physical layer security, wireless authentication, spoofing attacks, 6G networks, distributed massive MIMO, cell-free systems, and radio stripe-based communications.
