Manoel Rios é Doutor em Ciências do Desporto (Bolsa FCT/PT [2021-2024]) pela Faculdade de Desporto da Universidade do Porto, Portugal. Atualmente é Professor Adjunto na Escola Superior de Desporto e Educação Jean Piaget - Instituto Politécnico do Norte, Portugal, e colaborador externo no Centro de Investigação, Formação, Inovação e Intervenção em Desporto (CIFI2D) e no Laboratório de Biomecânica do Porto (LABIOMEP). A sua pesquisa abrange vários aspetos das Ciências do Desporto, com um foco particular na Fisiologia do Exercício, Desempenho Desportivo, Biomecânica e o impacto da atividade física na saúde e qualidade de vida em diferentes populações. Explorando as respostas fisiológicas e biomecânicas ao exercício, as adaptações ao treino desportivo e as suas implicações para indivíduos de todas as idades, com o objetivo de melhorar os resultados de saúde e otimizar o desempenho.
