Beatriz Branquinho Gomes. Completed the PhD in Sport Sciences in 2016 at the University of Porto - Faculty of Sports. Has a Master in Biokinetics, concluded in 2008, and a graduation in Sport Sciences and Physical Education, obtained in 2002, both from the University of Coimbra - Faculty of Sport Sciences and Physical Education. Is Assistant Professor in the University of Coimbra, Faculty of Sport Sciences and Physical Education and since 2017 is Vice-dean at the Faculty. She is also a member of the Executive Board of the Portuguese Olympic Committe (2017-2024). Published more than 40 articles in journals with IF, mainly in the category of Sports Sciences of the JCR, and has 2 book sections. Member of the Scientifc Committe in 9 Congresses and also member of the organizing committe in also 7 congresses. Supervised 4 PhD thesis and has more 6 PhD students that have their project undergoing (5 with FCT studentship). Supervised 17 MSc dissertations. Participated in 20 PhD juris (national and international) and 30 Master degree juris. Has received 5 awards. Had a FCT PhD Student Fellow. Was researcher in 5 projects. Works in the area(s) of Medical and Health Sciences with emphasis on Sport and Fitness Sciences. Her main areas of expertise are biomechanics with emphasis on kinetic measurement and also kinematic analysis, biophysics analysis considering the knowledge in terms of bioenergetics and sports evaluation and training control, although with more focus in kayak/canoe, she has also publication regarding other sports. In their professional activities interacted with 67 collaborators co-authorship of scientific papers.
