Throughout my academic career I have always been interested in the most diverse areas of science, leading me to embark in 2014 on a degree in Biomedical Sciences. The fact that it was a multidisciplinary course pleased me, since it allowed me to acquire skills and experience in the most diverse scientific areas, ranging from biology to areas such as programming and electronics. After reaching my last semester of this degree, I decided that it would be extremely important to leave my comfort zone and venture into a new country, in order to get in touch with different working methods and new ideas that I would know, from the start, that would be extremely enriching for my career as a future scientist. In February 2018, I then traveled to Gliwice, Poland where I was in contact with subjects more applied to biomedical engineering, among these, the ones that most clarified me in relation to my future were biomechatronics, artificial organs and tissue and genetic engineering. It was an exceptionally important experience for my academic career, since it led me to reflect on a possible master's degree in the field of biomaterials. After finishing this mobility period, I applied for a master's degree in Biomedical Materials and Devices at the University of Aveiro in which I was accepted and, since then, my passion for biomaterials has grown, leading me to believe that the most pleasurable for I would be pursuing a career as a researcher. At the end of my first master's year I decided that I needed a new challenge in the area, and so I looked for options to carry out a master's thesis abroad. I found in Norway a challenge that motivated me a lot, since it was an area in which I had never worked before, but which aroused a great interest, dental materials. The state of the art of this thesis was developed in Aveiro, and in February 2020 I traveled to Oslo, where I started to acquire results through Micro and Nano x-ray tomography analysis. This stage of my journey, still with all the impediments that the pandemic brought us, was extremely didactic and helped me to develop enormous autonomy in the laboratory, as well as made me develop laboratory skills, some ease in solving problems and became a versatile and very resilient person. During this period of thesis development, I also acquired hard skills in image analysis software, both in 2D and 3D, some of these software are CTAn, CTVox, NRecon, DataViewer and ImageJ. After developing a statistical analysis of my results, I also acquired skills in statistical software platforms such as SPSS. Last but not least, the usual handling with Micro-CT (SkyScan 1174) and Nano-CT (SkyScan 2211) equipment led me to acquire extremely effective skills so that all the scanning necessary for the acquisition of results was performed effectively by me. During my academic career I was also very interested in associations, having been president of the group of biomedical sciences students at the university of Beira Interior between 2015 and 2018, having also accumulated positions during this period as a member of the pedagogical council of the faculty of health sciences between 2016 and 2017 and also as a member of the health science faculty's board between 2017 and 2018, both positions in University of Beira Interior. These positions became extremely important, as they allowed me to acquire facilities in interpersonal relationships, as well as giving me leadership and team spirit skills. After finishing my masters, I have started to learn some programming languages. I have started with Phyton and lately, I have done two different Outsystems courses that led me to some knowledge about low-code programming which can be important to me in the future.
