Alexandra Cruz is a PhD student in Neurosciences at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto. She is currently studying the neuronal mechanisms underlying obsessive and compulsive behaviors, under the supervision of Doctor Patrícia Monteiro. In 2020, she obtained the Master in Biomedical Research degree (Faculty of Medicine) and in 2018 she finished the Bachelor degree in Biochemistry (Faculty of Sciences and Technology), both at the University of Coimbra. She has contributed as a co-author to the publication of three original articles and an abstract in specialized journals, but also presented three oral communications and five posters in national and international conferences.
