Dina Neves, Mestre em Ciências Farmacêuticas, tem-se dedicado ao estudo dos compostos polifenólicos com foco nas antocianinas. Entre 2016-2019, desenvolveu pesquisa científica no Laboratório de Farmacognosia da Faculdade de Farmácia da Universidade do Porto, explorando a bioatividade de extratos ricos em antocianinas (ex. sabugueiro, camarinha, subprodutos vinícolas) no contexto das doenças neurodegenerativas. Desde janeiro 2020, que integra o FoodPolyphenolLab na Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto, sintetizando novos derivados de antocianinas para deteção de aminas em perspetiva alimentar e biomédica. O seu percurso conta já com 11 comunicações e 2 artigos científicos.
