Bruno Campos is PhD in Chemistry, attributed by the University of Porto-Faculty of Sciences, and a Master/Bachelor´s degree in Chemistry conferred by the same academic institution. Affiliated to Research Centre for Science and Technology of the Arts (CITAR-UCP), worked in subjects related to the development of new materials able to mitigate and solve weathering problems associated to Historic Buildings and Mural Paintings. Was postdoctoral researcher of the project Bio4Mural – “Innovative biotechnology solutions for black stains removal and preventive conservation of historical and culturally important mural paintings”, and supported master's dissertations, namely in carrying out laboratory tasks -Ana Catarina Cordeiro - cleaning tests with supercritical CO2 applied to a collection of coins at the MMIPO Museum (Porto), participated the co-supervision of the master's thesis by Guilhermina Cadeco - The Scientific Collection of the ISEP Museum. Approach to Conservation and restoration based on case studies: the batteries by Grenet and Leclanché and by Marta Borges - Chromatic and volumetric reintegration of façade tiles with eco-friendly paints and composite resin material, in the latter, it developed a very active partnership with CIN's research department for the development of the project. Supported also doctoral students, namely following the tasks of the PhD student Alexandra Marco whose research theme is close to that of the Bio4Mural project, carrying out field tasks - Isabel Ferreira - adaptation of the RGB system to the reading of the evolution of color in façade tiles (2019-2020) and Patricia Monteiro in the project - Murais Portuenses - Fresco and Marmorite - between the 30's and 70's of the 20th century: Characterization, Context and Issues of Valorization, whose application was submitted to the FCT doctoral scholarship competition (2020). Participated in the elaboration of the HAC4CG - Heritage, art, creation for climate project change - living the city: catalyzing spaces for learning, creation and action towards climate change (2020) and which was selected for funding under the structured projects R&D&I - HORIZONTE EUROPE, and in which he is an associate researcher at RL1 WP1 - Green Thermal Insulators made of Cellulosic Waste material applied to cultural heritage. Was Lecturer of Green Chemistry applied to Conservation and Restoration at School of Arts-UCP, is a regular reviewer of Journal Studies in Conservation and Restoration and headed the Organizing Committee responsible for the 3rd International Conference-Green Conservation of Cultural Heritage. Is a highly ranked researcher by Researchgate (28.52) and h-index (14), participating in more than 50 publications as author and co-author, some of them in renowned conferences and leading journals in the field. Concomitantly, is able to lead research groups and develop projects aiming at the obtention of Fundings and Innovation.
