RICARDO JORGE DINIS-OLIVEIRA, PharmaD, PhD, European PhD, DSc, is a Toxicologist and Forensic Sciences Expert. He developed
scientific and academic activity in the areas of Toxicology and Pharmacology of Psychoactive Substances, Pesticides, and Medicines,
in their preclinical, clinical, and forensic aspects, and in Forensic Medicine, namely the development of mathematical models
to calculate the postmortem interval, known as the Holy Grail of Forensic Sciences. He has supervised several Integrated Master’s
dissertations, Master’s dissertations, and PhD theses. He is a member of the Editorial Board and Ambassador of several International
Scientific Journals. He is the author of more than 250 articles published (representing more than 5500 citations) in internationally
indexed journals, with peer review. He authorizes about 40 book chapters, four books, and four national and three international
patents. He is the author of Guidelines in Forensic Sciences for Clinical and Forensic Toxicological samples collection, with
an international scope. He has received recognition for his Pedagogical Excellence in Higher Education, which resulted in
international scientific publications. Furthermore, he coordinated the Self-Assessment Commissions for various accreditation
processes of the new or in-operation Cycle of Studies by the Higher Education Accreditation Agency (A3ES) and has been an
A3ES expert since 2019. He is a Full Professor at the University Institute of Health Sciences and of the Faculty of Medicine
of the University of Porto. He is the Director of the Research Unit 1H-TOXRUN – One Health Toxicology Research Unit of IUCS-CESPU
and Integrated Researcher, member of the Management Board, and Director of the Research Group in Toxicology of UCIBIO - Research
Unit on Applied Molecular Biosciences. In 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, he was integrated into the World’s Top 2% Scientist
list, which ranks the most highly cited scientists. He is the founder and current President of the Portuguese Association
of Forensic Sciences (APCF) and was Vice-president of the Portuguese Society for the Study of Abuse and Neglect (SPECAN).
He is a Scientific Consultant for the pharmaceutical development companies Avextra Pharma GmbH and Albert Labs, and he serve
as the Technical-Scientific Director of the Center of Forensic Expertise FOREN.pt. Integrates since 2024, a list of experts
