André Carvalho is a Master's student in Taxation at the Polytechnic University of Cávado and Ave (IPCA). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Management from the same institution and a Postgraduate degree in Accounting and Corporate Taxation from Coimbra Business School | ISCAC. Since 2022, he has been actively involved in scientific research, authoring and co-authoring articles published in national and international journals. He has also participated as a speaker at both national and international conferences, with a particular focus on Environmental Taxation. Currently, he is a Researcher at the Research Center on Accounting and Taxation (CICF) at IPCA, specifically within the Taxation and Fiscal Policy research line, in the exploratory research project “CCGTS – Addressing Climate Change Through Green Taxation Initiatives: A Path Towards Environmental Sustainability”, contributing to the study of green fiscal policies as tools to combat climate change and promote environmental sustainability.
