Andreia F. S. Ribeiro is a postdoctoral fellow at the Land-Climate Dynamics group of ETH Zurich since December 2020, under a Brazilian-Swiss joint research project, about climate-related risks in terms of fire activity across Amazon, Cerrado and Pantanal. Andreia's current research focus on the understanding of the climate-fire-landscape relationships and on the design of compound-event-oriented frameworks to tropical fire risk assessment in a changing climate. Andreia F. S. Ribeiro concluded the PhD in October 2020 with the highest grade at the Instituto Dom Luiz (IDL) in the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, Portugal. Her PhD concerned the impacts of climate extremes on crop yields in the Iberian Peninsula, aiming to design management options to mitigate such impacts. The PhD have resulted in 5 first-author peer reviewed publications with follow-up works currently published or under review. Under the same topic of the PhD, Andreia is involved since 2018 in the research project IMPECAF (http://impecaf.rd.ciencias.ulisboa.pt/). During PhD, in 2019 she visited for 3 months the department of Climate and Environmental Physics, University of Bern, Switzerland, to study the risks associated to compound hot and dry meteorological extremes on crop's production, under the context of the European COST Action CA17109. From 2013 to 2016 she was a funded research fellow in IDL on the project PHDROUGHT, focusing on the predictability assessment and hybridization of seasonal drought forecasts and resulting in peer reviewed publications and chapters in a project-related book. From 2012 to 2013 Andreia was a team member in a research project with bilateral cooperation with Germany (FCT/DAAD), publishing on the analysis of the extreme sea-level changes using the extreme value theory. In 2013, Andreia¿s MSc thesis concerned the statistical downscaling of temperature in vineyard regions for agronomic applications.
