Currently I am working at CNC_UC-BIOTECH Animal House as responsible veterinarian and project design and execution of procedures in laboratory animal experimentation for CNC and UC researchers and external enterprises. Currently I have been working in the establishment of animal models of cancer, autoimmune diseases and drug discovery. I had been working as a post-doc associate researcher at the Laboratory for Experimental Brain Research, Lund, Sweden. I participated in the projects design, execution, data analysis, writing manuscripts, as well writing projects for financing. High experience (>10 years) in handling and maintenance of laboratory animals and the design and execution of scientific projects. Skilled in biological samples collection, treatment administration (oral gavage, subcutaneous, intravenous, intraperitoneal, intramuscular, and stereotaxic) and behavior analysis. Skilled to perform in vitro cell cultures. Dominance of several laboratory techniques that include the most commonly used techniques (western-blot, immunohistochemistry, PCR). Medical veterinarian responsible for animal welfare and member of “Organismo Responsável pelo Bem-estar dos Animais (ORBEA)” do CNC-FMUC since 2022 and FCS da Universidade da Beira Interior since 2018.
