Isabel Maria Nunes Correia obtained her Ph.D. in Biochemistry in 2007 from the University of Coimbra, Faculty of Sciences and Technology. Additionally, she holds a Master's degree in Cellular Biology, earned in 1999, and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from 1994, both achieved at the University of Coimbra, Faculty of Sciences and Technology. Currently, she is a Senior Technician at the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology, where she coordinates crucial and comprehensive structures essential for research activities. This encompasses the coordination of the Flow Cytometry Unit and the management of laboratories dedicated to cell culture. In her managerial capacity, Isabel gives support and training to new users within the structures she oversees, ensuring the adoption of good laboratory practices. Since 2021, she additionally assumed the position of Executive Administrator for the Doctoral Program in Experimental Biology and Biomedicine. Over the years, she engaged in teaching at the higher education level, focusing on Cellular Biology and Biochemistry. Isabel's scholarly contributions include the publication of 15 articles in specialized journals. Her Ciência Vitae curriculum underscores key terms such as African swine fever virus, nuclear-cytoplasmic transport, influenza virus, lipid-enveloped virus, membrane fusion, fluorescent probes, and flow cytometry within the context of her scientific and technological production.
