Miguel Silva is PhD candidate and a research fellow at Centro ALGORITMI at University of Minho (Portugal). At the same institution, Miguel has received both Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering, where he specialized himself in the Embedded Systems field. During his Mater's thesis, Miguel worked with University of Minho and Bosch GmbH and focused his work on the characterization process of system software running on ECUs. After finishing his Master's degree, Miguel joined as a research fellow in a project partnered between University of Minho and MOG Technologies on the development of a video card for multimedia content with 8K resolution. His research interests include operating systems, computer architectures, real-time system, and reconfigurable computing. At the moment, his focus is finishing his PhD program, which proposes an agnostic framework for the hardware acceleration of IoT operating systems.
