Isa Silva obtained a degree in Physiotherapy from the School of Health - Polytechnic of Porto in 2017, and she worked for four years as a physiotherapist in various clinical contexts. In 2023, she completed the Master of Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto with the final thesis: "Prevalence of cognitive impairment after SARS-CoV-2 infection". Currently, she is a research fellow on the project "NeurodegCoV19: Neurodegenerative complications after COVID-19 (PTDC/SAU-EPI/6275/2020)", and integrates the "Cognitive impairment in diseases involving the nervous system" Lab at the ITR - Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health of the Institute of Public Health (ISPUP). She authored one paper published in an international peer-reviewed indexed journal and one conference abstract. In addition, she co-authored another two papers for international journals, as well as two other conference abstracts. Her main research interest is the study of health determinants related with non-communicable diseases, with a special interest in cognitive impairment.
