Isa Silva holds a degree in Physiotherapy from the School of Health – Polytechnic of Porto (2017) and a Master’s in Public Health from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (2023), where she defended the thesis “Prevalence of cognitive impairment after SARS-CoV-2 infection.” Between 2017 and 2021, she worked as a physiotherapist in various clinical settings. She was a research fellow on the project NeurodegCoV19: Neurodegenerative complications after COVID-19 (PTDC/SAU-EPI/6275/2020), integrated in the lab “Cognitive Impairment in Diseases Involving the Nervous System” at the ITR – Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health, ISPUP. Since 2024, she has been collaborating with the Ordem dos Fisioterapeutas as Advisor to the Studies and Planning Office, contributing to strategic planning, implementation of research activities, and the development of evidence-based policies for the profession. She is the author of two articles in peer-reviewed international journals and two conference abstracts, and co-author of three additional papers and two conference abstracts. Her research interests focus on the social and structural determinants of health and the development of evidence-based physiotherapy policies.
