Native of Lisbon, João Pedro Patrício da Silva Veiga holds a bachelor’s degree in art history, from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, NOVA University of Lisbon. Since 2021 has been a researcher in the Institute for Medieval Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, NOVA University of Lisbon. In the Past he collaborated in some researched projects, such as the “Cistercian Horizons research project. Studying and characterizing a medieval scriptorium and its production: Alcobaça. Dialogues between local identities and liturgical uniformity (PTDC/ART-HIS/29522/2017)” and “TechNetEMPIRE - Technical-Scienti¿c Networks in the Formation of the Built Environment in the Portuguese Empire, 1647-1871 (PTDC/ART- DAQ/31959/2017)” Presently he is on the Master's in History of the Arts of Antiquity and the Middle Ages, at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, University Nova of Lisbon, with the Master's thesis registered under the title "The Calouste Gulbenkian Museum's Medieval Collection: The so-called Virgin of the Baker" under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Alicia Miguélez Cavero, professor at NOVA FCSH and integrated member of the IEM, and co-supervision of Dr. Lucretia Kargère, Curator of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York.
