Mirian Pateiro is Senior Researcher at Centro Tecnológico de la Carne de Galicia (Ourense, Spain) in the R&D Project Management Department. She has participated in more than 25 projects as research collaborator (3 international, 5 national and 20 regional) in the last eight years with major focus on Food Technology and Meat Science. Her short but intense career gives her a great experience in the meat sector, being recognized among the top ten world experts in meat and meat products in 2021 by Expertscape ranking (https://expertscape.com/). Moreover, she was elected as the top 2% of top-scientists - Ranking University of Standford (https://elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com/datasets/btchxktzyw/3). Regarding her research experience, her main achievements and strengths include 180 scientific research papers in well-recognized peer-reviewed international journals (SCI), and 99 communications to congresses, mostly international. Her h-index is 35 with a number of cites of 3763 in Scopus. She has edited four international books, and she has contributed with sixteen chapters of international and national books. She has a strong capacity for teamwork, and a growing collection of fruitful national and international collaborations. Nowadays, she is a member of the leading research group of an international network that involves the participation of more than 40 international researchers (Red CYTED Healthy Meat), where she actively collaborates in the coordination and management activities of this international and multidisciplinary network. She is on the Editorial Board of prestigious journals: Antioxidants, Foods, Recent Progress in Nutrition, and she is Guest Editor of several Special Issues in international journals, focussed in “Recent Research Advances in Meat Products” and in “Improvement of the Health Properties of Meat Products”.
