Johnson Ankrah holds a PhD in Geography. He is a trained environmental social scientist and geographer. His research focuses on the impacts of climate change and variability on coastal social-ecological systems, extreme weather and climate events in coastal areas, the perception of climate risk and adaptation strategies among coastal farmers, small-scale fisheries livelihoods, fisheries management, and shoreline change and erosion. His research aims to enhance the livelihood opportunities of coastal communities, including small-scale fishers and farmers.
