My interests focus on the development of in vitro skin models, biomedical and biomimetic materials for cutaneous drug delivery. I have wide experience in bioengineering, nanomaterials, SEM and TEM microscopy, characterization of biomaterials, cell culture and bioimaging. I am attending the Doctoral Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences by the University of Porto, Faculty of Farmacy since 2021/10/01. In 2017 I received a master's degree in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto, Portugal, with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 14. My MSc thesis is entitled "In vitro skin models as a tool in optimization of drug formulations". In 2011 I received a Licentiate degree in Biotechnology in Technology of fat, essential oils and cosmetics, Faculty of Organic Materials Technology, Belarusian State Technological University, Minsk, Belarus. My thesis is entitled: "Reconstruction project of confectionery factory «Kommunarka» OJSC; improving cocoa butter processing technologies". On the Portuguese scale, my Grade Point Average (GPA) equals 15. From 12/2017 till now I have research fellowship (BIM) at the Centre for Mechanical Technology and Automation (TEMA), Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Aveiro, Portugal. Previously, from 09/2016 to 11/2017, I was a Master student in Professor Salette Reis' research group in the Associated Laboratory for the Green Chemistry (REQUIMTE), Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto, Portugal. Within this period my main activities consisted of developing a stratum corneum model that mimics this human skin layer, built on a phospholipid vesicle-based permeation assay (PVPA), characterization the stability and permeability properties for obtained model via permeation assay, comparison the pig ear skin model with the designed model. From 06/2012 to 05/2015 I was a manager of the procurement department in JSC «Perfumery and Cosmetics Factory «Modum - Nasha Cosmetica», Minsk, Belarus. Duties involved ordering 79 types of ingredients and 7 types of packaging for cosmetic manufacturing at local and international markets with about 80 suppliers; supplying required chemicals, materials and equipment to the laboratory. From 03/2011 to 05/2012 I worked as a production technologist in LLC «Fabrika krasoty» Cosmetics Factory, Minsk, Belarus. Duties involved process guiding of cosmetic fabrication, quality control, physical and chemical analysis. Process monitoring on every production step, certification of products, calibrating the laboratory equipment and ordering supplies. My experimental skills and experience include synthesis, sintering and processing of ceramics, drug permeation studies with Franz Diffusion cells and the pig ear skin, fluorescence spectroscopy, spectrophotometry, transepithelial electrical resistance (TEER) measurements, dynamic light scattering (DLS), ultramicrotomy and biological sample preparation, X-ray diffraction (operation and analysis), experience in microscopy (SEM, STEM, TEM, optical and inverted-stage microscope), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), experience in chromatography (biogas analysis) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. I am the first author of two scientific peer-reviewed publications and co-author of two scientific peer-reviewed publications.
