Ana Beatriz Lobo de Almeida

Ana Lobo de Almeida earned a MSc degree in Oncology at the Instituto de School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (ICBAS) of the University of Porto (2023; 19/20) after a BSc degree in Medicinal Biotechnology at the School of Health of Polytechnic of Porto (2021; 17/20). She is currently a Researcher at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto with an Oncology Research Grant from the Portuguese League Against Cancer - Northern Regional Centre for the third year (2023, 2024 and 2025), with a focus on Fertility and Oncology. She was involved in the organization of a scientific event (LoginBiotech - 2020) and has presented posters/oral communications at 8 national and international scientific events. Ana published 2 papers in international peer-reviewed journals as the first author and was honoured with the Laboratory Award SPMR 2024. In addition, she has taken part in several training sessions and courses focused on the fields of fertility and cancer. In conjunction with her research activities, she has mentored 4 projects for the University of Porto's Junior University and has also been a member of Cartas com a Ciência since 2021, an organization that works in the field of science education in Portuguese-speaking countries.
