Inês Sousa Oliveira (Sousa-Oliveira, I.) completed the Integrated Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences (PharmD, MSc) at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Coimbra (FFUC) in 2020 with distinction and was awarded the "3% Best Students Award" by the University of Coimbra annually. During the academic path, Inês demonstrated enthusiasm and interest in scientific research and a strong will to learn. Thereby, and during the academic journey, Inês initiated an extracurricular internship in the Centre of Neurosciences and Molecular Biology of the University of Coimbra (CNC) for one year. Inês collaborates currently in the research group of Prof. Dr. Ana Cláudia Santos, in the area of Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology at the Drug Development and Technologies Laboratory, in the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Coimbra. In this context, Inês co-authors 2 articles published in specialized and indexed scientific journals (with a high impact factor and Q1). Also, Inês has contributed to the organization of several scientific events and participated in a total of more than 20. Her passion for scientific research has been the driving force behind her academic and professional choices. Therefore, after the academic path, Inês started working in the Pharmaceutical Industry in the Research and Development area (Grupo Tecnimede). Apart from Pharmaceutical Development research, Inês maintained close contact with the investigation research especially related to cancer and nanotechnology. These two areas allow Inês to be actively involved in research solutions for the vastness of unsolved questions in the medical and health sciences field, particularly the ones related to cancer. Thereby, her research interests are related to the nanomedicine field, especially in the study of innovative nanotechnological approaches for cancer treatment. Inês is an extremely motivated, creative, and hard-worker professional. Inês' academic background provides her with strong scientific knowledge, aligned with powerful communication skills, critical thinking, and a goal-oriented attitude.
