Ana Gomes Bispo is graduated in Food Technology and Safety (concluded in 2005 in Faculdade de Ciências e Technologia from Universidade Nova de Lisboa) and a PhD in Agraricultural Sciences (concluded in 2017 in University of Évora). Since 2017 she integrates Division of Aquaculture, Upgrading and Bioprospection (DivAV) of Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) as a post-doc Researcher. Within this team, she has been working in the development and optimization of analytical methodologies for the quantification of bioactive compounds of interest in micro and macroalgae, as well as the characterization of the lipid fraction and lipidomics in marine resources. The activities carried out so far are in the scope of her participation in an international project (ALGARED) and another national project (NewFood4Thought). Her main scientific research interest is focused in the upgrading of marine resources, especially through nutrition, as way to promote human health and well-being.
