Ehsan Aliyan. As a young adult, was fascinated by science, especially mathematics and physics. He pursued his bachelor’s degree in Physics and finished in 2009/07/21 by Shahrood University of Technology, followed by a master's degree in Medical Radiation Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology in 2012/09/01. His passion for the power industry led him to continue his research and career in this field, culminating in a specialization in Power Engineering with a focus on the Management and Control of Power Systems at Shahid Beheshti University—one of Iran’s top-ranked universities. His research during this period, titled "A Decision Tree-Based Approach for Identifying Harmful Contingency with the Potential for Initiating Cascading Failures and Blackout," reflects his expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), cascading failures, blackouts, and power system reliability. During his academic and professional journey, published multiple journal and conference papers, including a journal paper based on his thesis. These publications highlights his contributions to power system optimization, artificial intelligence applications in energy networks, and reliability assessment. His research has been recognized in both national and international forums, demonstrating his ability to conduct high-quality academic work. spent a decade working in the Optimization Section at METANIR—the largest power system maintenance company in Iran. This experience has provided him with a deep understanding of power system operations, maintenance strategies, and optimization techniques. Additionally, work experience as an engineer and researcher at Tehran Regional Electric Company (TREC), where undertook various research projects aligned with power system optimization and reliability. Beyond industrial experience, also worked as a lecturer at Azad University, strengthening his academic collaborations with students and research teams. Furthermore, contributed to several projects at Niroo Research Institute (NRI) Company, enhancing his expertise in power system analysis and optimization. His work involved analyzing the impact of independent aggregators on electricity markets, optimal energy community formation, optimizing day-ahead generation scheduling while considering cyber-security, and implementing demand response strategies in flexible distribution networks. Additionally, Is Researcher in Instituto Politécnico do Porto Grupo de Investigação em Engenharia e Computação Inteligente para a Inovação e o Desenvolvimento, where collaborates on advanced research initiatives in power systems and smart grid technologies.
