I graduated in Biology from Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (2007), hold a master's degree in Health Sciences from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (2010), and received a PhD in Medical Sciences from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2012). I collaborate on numerous research projects in clinical and preclinical areas, with a focus on mental health and neuropsychopathologies associated with immune-inflammatory processes, learning and memory, and long-term effects of COVID-19. My professional experience includes: Writing projects and scientific communication, and co-advising post-graduate students; - Executing and organizing a clinical research involving more than 5000 participants; Teaching and mentoring students of Medical School in Physiology, Biochemistry, and Cellular and Molecular Biology, for more than 4 years, working with active learning methods; Optimizing work routines in the molecular diagnosis of COVID-19, during the COVID-19 pandemic. My recent research at the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS) focused on the gene mutations and inflammatory profile related to clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) in Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) patients, as well as analyzing EVs profile and biomarkers for chronic inflammation-associated diseases. Furthermore, I am involved in the development of a new multiplex diagnostic and classification platform for these patients.
