Dr. Flavio Bartolomeu is a Senior Researcher at the Advanced Materials Research Centre at the pioneer Technology Innovation Institute in Abu Dhabi. He holds a MSc (2015) and PhD (2019) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minho (Portugal). Since 2015, he has been engaged in developing the skills for materials science and engineering related to the areas of Metal Additive Manufacturing. After PhD, he was the R&D leader of a research line focused on new technological developments for multi-material component’s manufacturing and mechanical characterization. He was invited Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Minho. He was involved in several R&D projects along with 10+ international scientific/research/project collaborations. Besides the 50+ scientific publications (Scopus-h21), he contributed 50+ peer-reviewed papers, 1 book, 2 patents, 10 supervisions, 10+ scientific committees and participated in 10 international conferences. His research targets the design, manufacturing, and validation of Multi-material Additive Manufactured products capable to provide disruptive engineering solutions with industrial applicability. His contribution has been recognized as part of the ''World's Top 2% Scientists'' list in 2022 and 2023 by Stanford University/Elsevier.
