Luís Madeira, 41 anos, desenvolve a sua carreira em quatro vertentes síncronas. Médico psiquiatra, licenciado em Medicina pela Universidade de Lisboa em 2008, é atualmente coordenador do Departamento de Psiquiatria no Hospital CUF Descobertas e Presidente-Eleito da Sociedade Portuguesa de Psiquiatria e Saúde Mental. É titular de grau de Pós graduação em Global Health pelo Imperial College em Londres, de mestrado em Filosofia e Saúde Mental pela Universidade de Central Lancashire e de doutoramento na área da Medicina - Filosofia da Psiquiatria. É Professor Auxiliar de Ética e Deontologia médica e de Psiquiatria na Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa. É Coordenador da Área Disciplinar de Psicopatologia e Saúde Mental da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade Católica. Cumpre atualmente o segundo mandato como conselheiro do Conselho Nacional de Ética para as Ciências da Vida. É ainda, Psicoterapeuta pela Sociedade Portuguesa de Psicoterapia Centrada no Cliente e Abordagem Centrada na Pessoa. Apresentou mais de duas centenas de comunicações nacionais e internacionais e tem em seu nome mais de 40 publicações. / / / / / / / / / Luís Madeira, 41 years old, develops his career in four synchronous strands. A psychiatrist with a degree in Medicine from the University of Lisbon in 2008, he is currently coordinator of the Psychiatry Department at the CUF Descobertas Hospital and President-Elect of the Portuguese Society of Psychiatry and Mental Health. He holds a Post-graduate Certificate in Global Health from the Imperial College, a Master's degree in Philosophy from the University of Central Lancashire and a PhD in Medicine - Philosophy of Psychiatry. He is Assistant Professor of Medical Ethics and Deontology and of Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon. He is Professor of Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine of the Catholic University. He is currently serving his second term as a counsellor of the National Ethics Council for Life Sciences. He is also a Psychotherapist by the Portuguese Society of Client-Centred Psychotherapy and Person-Centred Approach. He has presented more than two hundred national and international communications and has 40 publications to his name.
