Víctor Barros. PhD in Contemporary Studies/Contemporary History (University of Coimbra) realized with the support of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation research fellowship and Approved with Praise and Distinction (Summa Cum Laude). His thesis on historical commemorations and the construction of memory of the Portuguese empire in the colonies in Africa was awarded in the Third Edition of the Agostinho Neto International Historical Research Prize in 2020. In 2023 Víctor Barros was a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the École des Hautes Études Hispaniques et Ibériques (EHEHI), Casa de Velázquez (Madrid). Currently he is a Researcher under contract at the Institute of Contemporary History - IHC/IN2PAST - NOVA University of Lisbon
