Graduated in Marine Biology in 2011 and concluded the Master in Marine Ecology in 2012, both at Lisbon University, Sciences College. Collaborated with the Marine Ecophysiology and Climate Change Assessment group (MARE-ULisboa), publishing within the scope of adaptive physiology, concerning climate change related effects in marine organisms. Participations at national and international conferences, oral and poster presentations. In 2020, as research assistant at the Plankton and Crustacean Laboratory of the Portuguese Institute for Ocean and Atmosphere (IPMA), contributed for the production of a study integrating data on the zooplankton communities and their relation to fishing resources, along the Portuguese coast. In recent collaboration with MARE-ULisboa, focused attention on the emerging contaminants problematic, studying the suitability of integrative biomarker indexes in the assessment of physiological stress patterns, following pollutant exposure in marine ecosystems. Following a personal interest for the practice of ocean literacy, developed non-formal education activities for maritime turistic operators in Madeira, Azores and Lisbon, also contributing to citizen's science projects, raising awareness on the general public towards climate change and pollution concerns.
