Filipe José Alves de Oliveira is a Principal Research Associate at the Department of Materials and Ceramics Engineering and CICECO at the University of Aveiro. His main research areas include new composites, hard coatings and diamond-based materials for tribological and biotribological applications, boron-doped diamond films for applications in electrochemical analysis, water purification or hydrogen electrolysis. He has co-authored 177 articles published in SCI journals and 5 registered patent applications. He is a reviewer for several international journals included in the SCI, having co-supervised four doctoral theses and 31 master's dissertations.
