Ricardo Augusto Zimmermann

Ricardo Zimmermann is a senior researcher at the Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (INESC TEC), Portugal and an invited professor at Águeda School of Technology and Management, University of Aveiro, Portugal. His qualification includes a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Management by the University of Aveiro, a Master in Management by the University of Aveiro, a Master in Business Administration by SENAI (National Service of Industrial Learning), Brazil and a BS in Management by the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Brazil. His PhD research was recognized as highly commended in the area of Logistics and Supply Management by Emerald and EFMD Global at the 2020 Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards and was the winner of the "Prémio Mário Quartin Graça" 2020, sponsored by "Casa da América Latina" and Santander Bank. Ricardo also won the EurOMA Young Scholar Network Grant 2020. His research interests include supply chain management, supply chain strategies, supply chain complexity, digital supply chain transformation, innovation management and the relationship between supply chains and innovation. His research has been published in journals such as Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management and the International Journal of Logistics Management. Ricardo has work experience in companies in Portugal and Brazil in areas such as strategic management, quality management, project management, costs management and innovation. Ricardo has also acted as an invited Professor in Universities in Portugal and Brazil, as a consultant and as quality auditor.
