Marta Ascensão Carmona Ferro (M.C. Ferro) is graduated in Ceramic Engineering (1998) by Aveiro University (UA). In 2003 she finished his Master degree in Science and Materials Engineering. Since 06/2003 she is a technician in electron microscopy at CICECO, Aveiro Institute of Materials, UA. She has experience in sample preparation for electron microscopy and experience in the field of scanning and transmission electron microscopy. M.C.Ferro is author/co-author of 37 articles in international peer-review journals plus 10 in conference proceedings, In several fields: glass, glass-ceramics; fly ashes; recycling; biomaterials; coatings; pulsed laser deposition scanning and transmission electron microscopy; carbon nanostructures (carbon nanotubes, graphene, graphite oxide and others) and functionalization; oxides materials. M.C.Ferro was in the last years a member in 5 active FCT projects.
